Vision Check: Safeguarding Children's Eyes
One of our primary concerns is to detect eye conditions in children early, ideally before the age of 7. If the brain receives poor visual input from one eye, it may begin to disregard that input by age 7. Potential causes include "lazy eye," poor eye alignment, significant differences in refraction or required correction, variations in pupil response to light, and more. Unlike standard Snellen Eye Charts, our advanced equipment automatically screens for these conditions. We recognize the importance of addressing vision deficiencies before children start school; however, as outlined above, it is equally crucial to prevent early vision loss.
